IIinca Bacila was born into a musical family (Mother & Father) in Cluj Romania where her father taught her to sing at the age of 9, two years prior to learning the piano.
IIinca crafted her skills singing Country and pop music throughout her teenage years where she performed in a number of contests and competitions however, it wasn’t until the age of 14 when IIinca became intrigued with Yodeling as she watched a “Taylor Ware’s ” (singer and yodeler) video on YouTube.
She immediately fell in love with the sound and taught herself how to Yodel professionally.
IIinca’s mother Carmen (Soprano & Opera singer: Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra of Cluj-Napoca) recognized her full potential as a yodeler, which was the day that changed her life as she realized this truly was her musical craft.
IIinca learned to sing “He taught me to yodel” where her performance won the contest.

CREDITS
In 2014 performed with a girl group for the X Factor in ROMANIA.
IIinca performed “Ardelean Show” which was a song written personally by songwriter “Claudiu Bulete” for the Mamaia Copiilor Festival which was recognized and honored her the first Romanian yodel in history. She won the Competition for best artist.

In 2015 Ilinca was a Finalist in the Romania “ The Voice” and that summer she toured Romania in concert with her “Voice Coach”

In 2017 Ilinca Băcilă, known as Ilinca, a Romanian singer and yodeller began her career as a competitor in the national versions of the Got Talent franchise, The X Factor and The Voice Romania.
In 2018, Together with singer and rapper Alex Florea she represented her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev with the song “Yodel It!” which successfully qualified for the final, finishing in 7th place The first time in 25 years that Romania broke the Top 10 !!
IIinca is now 21 years old singing traditional yodel from Switzerland and concerts every week in various cities in Romania. She currently living in Bucharest going to University and doing Musical theater.
